ECJ Lifetime Care & Warranty Policy

Welcome to Emi Conner Jewelry. Every piece in our collection is crafted with intention, artistry, and small-batch quality. As a home-based boutique studio, we take pride in offering personal, thoughtful care—before and long after your piece becomes yours.

This Lifetime Care & Warranty Policy explains what is covered, what is not, and how to send your jewelry in for service.


1. Lifetime Warranty Overview

ECJ offers a Lifetime Warranty on all pieces, designed to support the long-term care of your fine jewelry.

Guarantees include:

  • Lifetime cleaning & prong tightening
  • Lifetime craftsmanship warranty (defect-related repairs)
  • Accent stone protection for melee diamonds (2 mm or smaller)

All services require the customer to ship and insure their jewelry to us. We will return your piece fully insured once completed.


2. Complimentary Lifetime Services

We proudly offer the following services at no charge:

Professional Cleaning

Deep cleaning to keep your piece bright and sparkling.

Prong Tightening & Inspections

Regular maintenance to keep your stones secure.

Accent Stone Replacement

We replace melee diamonds (2 mm and smaller) if lost due to normal wear, not due to damage or impact.

Note: Customers are responsible for shipping both ways for all complimentary services.


3. Lifetime Craftsmanship Warranty

We stand behind our small-batch craftsmanship. If your piece has a workmanship defect, we will repair it free of charge at any time.

To maintain coverage:

  • Warranty applies to the original purchaser only
  • Warranty is non-transferable
  • Any work performed by another jeweler (including resizing) will void the warranty

Shipping and insurance fees apply for sending your jewelry to us.


4. What the Warranty Does Not Cover

Our warranty does NOT cover:

  • Damage from impact, dropping, snagging, or accidents
  • Loss of center stones (these must be insured)
  • Chips, cracks, or broken gemstones
  • Damage from chemicals, lotions, perfumes, makeup, pools, or hot tubs
  • Normal wear and tear (worn prongs, thinned bands, reshaping)
  • Discoloration caused by personal care products or lifestyle factors
  • Work performed by jewelers outside ECJ or our approved partners
  • Loss or theft
  • Damage caused by not performing routine cleaning and tightening

Fine jewelry—especially rings—is delicate and should be worn with thoughtful care.


5. Repairs Outside Warranty

We are always happy to help care for your ECJ jewelry. 
If a repair falls outside warranty coverage, a service fee will apply based on:

  • Materials needed
  • Complexity of the repair
  • Labor time

You may ship your jewelry to us anytime for a repair evaluation.


6. Gemstone Care Disclaimer

Certain gemstones (such as emeralds and opals) are naturally softer and more prone to wear. Chips, cracks, or color changes caused by wear or improper care are not considered defects.

Natural inclusions, color variations, and handcrafted details contribute to the uniqueness of each ECJ piece and are not considered flaws.

While we stand proudly behind our craftsmanship, we highly recommend insuring your jewelry for:

  • Accidental breakage

8. How to Send Your Jewelry for Service

To use your ECJ lifetime care benefits:

  1. Email us at support@emiconner.com with photos and details
  2. We will confirm the next steps and provide shipping instructions
  3. Ship your jewelry insured and well-packed
  4. We inspect, repair, or clean your piece
  5. We ship it back insured to you

9. Processing Time

Most repairs and cleanings take 10–20 business days once received.
Complex repairs may require additional time; we will notify you if so.
